I got really just so incredibly lucky in the mom-getting department. Over the last two years I have been diving more deeply into learning about her life with her, researching her biography and writing about her impact on the world, and I am so grateful for being with her in our lives right now — together — in this way. I'm excited to share her with the world, and excited to say, "Stay tuned! I will be posting more and more about her." For now, here is a glimpse of Karen, age 29, 1971, a thought she had in her own words upon meeting my father shortly after leaving Norway and coming to the US, and a flash of her inner imagination.
