For different reasons that can be personal and cultural, we may put a lot of pressure on ourselves to do certain relationships "right." Perhaps we read something in a book about "how to be a metamour." Or, we may have come across a blog, a podcast, or a community discussion about "managing toxic metamour relationships." We may be trying hard to take the advice and wisdom of those whom we imagine are more experienced than we are. While there may be gems of understanding within each of these sources, taken alone each suggestion may be an incomplete guide for the whole truth in our own heart. It can be hard to remember that we are truly doing our best. What's something you do that helps you come home to and stay with yourself when contemplating your relationship to metmaours or to anyone?
