It is not always easy to focus on ourselves and on others at the same time. We may find ourselves feeling that in a given moment we have to choose between supporting our own heart or the other person's heart in a metamour relationship or in any relationship. Yet, perhaps we can practice zooming out in order to witness the larger system that we're in. From this perspective, we may be able to imagine into new ways that we can hold both ourselves and others in compassion and in compersion at the same time. In fact, it may take purposeful effort to practice holding multiple truths at the same time, and it may take a spirit of generosity and concrete efforts and actions to build our collective awareness and capacity to do mutual care. What's one way that you practice collective care in a metamour relationship or in any relationship?
