It can be hard to keep in mind all the different ways that we are making an effort in life and using a lot of energy to maintain our own mental and physical health and joy, as well as contributing to the wellbeing of our families, our communities, and the Earth. Yet, it may be important to not get too down on ourselves and instead to give ourselves credit for the range of efforts that we make every day. What can you give yourself a bit more credit for doing this year?

Throughout the pandemic, I have posted messages on my Facebook wall that I needed to hear myself or that I imagined others may be needing to hear. Again and again, these messages spurred collective online processing of a range of challenges and lows and bright spots of living through the pandemic. This series of cartoons is intended to reflect on and illustrate some of the process of dealing with life by leaning into the intersection of technology and community. |
