Sometimes contact with each other through different media feels different because, well, it is actually just different. At the same time, we can explore and learn and practice with each other in these new contexts. And still, we may only get as far as we get in a given moment within a given new way or context of feeling together. What are you learning about trying to share feelings in new ways?

In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion. The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond.

[image description: Nine hearts in separate squares look out at the viewer. Each heart has radiating bands of light in the color of that heart going outward, but that are limited by their square. Each heart also has a blank expression and a single word written across their body that in total spells out, "I am trying to feel you in new ways."]
