Therapy may also be boring at times. We may have a challenging time finding our flow and juice to explore. We may hit interpersonal snags with our therapist. We may be bored with life or with ourselves. We may be desperate for a place to slow down and do not much at all with someone who won't judge us for not performing or not being entertaining. Or, we might just need a space to hit a blank wall and space out for a while. There may be a wide range of reasons that we end up feeling either the pangs or relief of boredom in therapy. What's one way that you have made sense of boredom when it has shown up in your therapy or life? ~ ~ ~ #TherapyCan

In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion.
The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond. |
