Whatever the quality, length, or depth of relationship that we may have with a therapist, different seasons of therapy in our lives can nonetheless show up as challenging interpersonally. This may be exactly what we need in order to grow self-understanding or shift a felt sense part of ourselves in the loving presence of another. Or, at times, therapy can be long and hard and lead no where in particular that is useful to us, and we may end up experiencing certain periods of therapy as a waste of time. This, too, may be true, and may be no less important to consider and make adjustments for, possibly by addressing the issue in the therapy, or at times by leaving the therapy. What's a challenging dynamic that you've experienced in therapy or in any setting, and how, if at all, did it resolve?
