Perhaps, the expression "we're all in this together" can be helpful or harmful. We may be called to greater awareness of our shared humanity, while at the same time, this saying can also give people permission to stay ignorant of and complicit with institutionally and culturally reified racism, hate, and domination. How have you experienced this saying as harm? When have you seen it help?
