Inquiring about the mental health of others, and maybe especially those closest to us, can bring negative reactions that can at times be dangerous or painful for us. Mental health stigma is deep. And for some, just the idea of having mental health challenges, which we all in fact have, is so abhorrent that it can't be acknowledged at all. When you need to talk to others about their mental health, what helps you bring up the topic in ways that are safe for you?
