I'm really loving today's cartoon, friends. I used to hate drawing hands. When I was twenty-four years old, I worked hard and drew a technically accurate representation of a hand in a poignant way. But when I had to generally draw hands on figures I would feel annoyed and almost ill in my stomach because I had the recurring thought that my hands didn't look like hands. I am overjoyed to have come through to a new state as an artist of letting go and living into the freedom to draw hands however the hell I want. Blobs, wild scribbles, barely there — today, #MindfulHearts hands have so much life in them! |
