Life brings many different circumstances and curve balls. We may find ourselves in a very wide range of concurrent realities having to practice with our concomitant internal states in ways we may not have preferred and may not have imagined possible. And at the same time, these new or different situations and experiences can bring new and different ways of appreciating life. What is bringing you joy right now that maybe did not before today?

In response to the much-needed call for #COVIDCompassion, #MindfulHearts offers the sister chant of #QuarantineCompersion. The art and skill of understanding the suffering of others and feeling and acting on the impulse to lessen that suffering goes hand in hand with the art and skill of feeling and acting on the impulse to nourish joy everywhere. May we all have moments of joy that grow and extend through the times we live in and beyond.
